UM MEN'S TRUCK FUND
The District UMMen met on March 27th at Uncle John's Pancake House. After a delicious meal of one's own choosing, business was conducted. The sale of Easter flowers was discussed and what the monies was designated for. Another subject was the truck fund. Eulan informed us that it was down to about $300.00 and monies were not coming in from the churches. This is very sad as the truck does a lot to minister to the hungry in our area. I can only appeal to the churches of the MWD to pray about this. May God show you the way to help feed the hungry.
In Bishop Julius Trimble's article for the UMMen magazine, "How to revitalize your church", he gives Six Pathways to Revitalize. His #2 is to be Doers. Quote: The plague of inertia is killing our churches. John Wesley would re-word his "Three General Rules" from "Do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God" to "Do no harm, but for God's sake do something!" Pick a God size task that can only be completed with His help and with the hands and feet of most of the congregation.
May God bless you as congregations, as groups, or as individuals to help the UMMen to keep ministering to the hungry of our area. We cannot do what we do without people like you. Please help us to keep our truck on the road.
Send funds to: Eulan Tucker, 3322 Stafford, Oregon OH 43616
or get them to the district office marked TRUCK FUND.

What can You do to Help a Local Ministry?
The Fulton County Christian Music Ministries, better known as the Gospel Tent, exists solely for the purpose of bringing a Christian presence to the Fulton County Fair each year. This mission/ministry is directed and governed by volunteer Board of Directors from churches throughout the Fulton County area. Throughout fair week, local volunteer talent provides a variety of Christian music and witness ranging from Bluegrass to Southern Gospel to Contemporary. On Saturday evening, there is a worship service in the Catholic tradition. On Sunday morning, an ecumenical praise/worship service is observed. Both services fill the tent. Sunday evening brings a well-known talent in concert. This year's artist is the group UNSPOKEN, coming to us from Nashville, Tennessee . You may have recently heard their music on the K-LOVE or WBCL radio stations.
With over 250,000 people attending the Fulton County Fair each year, this proves to be a wonderful way of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in Fulton County. In order for this ministry to continue, your help is needed.

The UMMen are in desperate need of truck drivers.
This is a 24 foot box truck, it is automatic, and you do not need a CDL to drive it as it is under 26,000 pounds.
The harvest is great and the drivers are few.
Many of these calls to pick up are last minute. As a call I got today, "Come and get these cantalopes or I am going to dump them because I need the cooler space." So let me know if you can be a short notice driver or if you will need more notice.
Pray that God may touch your heart to help in this important ministry.
